The Babcock Wet Fly
This pattern is in the book Forgotten Flies by Ingrid V. Sils and Paul Schmookler. The Ray Bergman wet flies were tied by Don Bastian.
This is truly a classic married wet fly.
Materials
Hook: 1XL Wet fly, 6-12
Tag: Fine flat gold tinsel
Tail: Married duck, black over yellow
Rib: Fine flat gold tinsel
Body: Red floss
Hackle: Black
Wing: Yellow duck with black stripe
