Every once and a while I like to post Robert Travers' "Testament of a Fisherman".

I fly fish because I enjoy it.

I never saw that before, but now that I have, I think it is going on my office wall.

Me too just downloaded and sent to my father.

If you'd like a really nice print of it, my wife got me this as a gift several years ago. link

Why does one version credit John Voelker and the other Robert Traver?

I guess, a very good reason is that it's the same guy! My fault.

Robert Traver was John Voelker's pen name. He was a Michigan state supreme court justice - bright guy. His books are great. He wrote "Anatomy of a Murder" which was turned into a movie and the proceeds freed him from a day job and allowed him to fish. He did an episode of "fly fishing journal" which was hosted by Joe Humphreys on ESPN in the 80's. you should read his books - they are very down to earth, enjoyment of just being out fishing kind of stories.

Well said.
