Got my first sucker on a nymph today.

Also a brookie and a brown.

ha! that reminds me, i was fishing a pvt section of a creek i know and got permission to fish. while i did see some really large wild brookies....15 inch range they were impossible. low water conditions made them a little to spooky to get close enough to cast. i did however lose a really large wild bow. im gonna say in the 17 inch range. came off the barbless hook. i did catch my first fall fish of the year. the thing was like 16 inches! it was ridiculous. i should have taken a pic of it! it was on a nymph also. :-D

Has anyone ever catch a bat?i did it a few times the only thing is that you gotta cut your line before you reel it in..ha

no but almost. those guys can get annoying. i almost caught a flycatcher also. 3 times in 4 casts! he kept grabbing the fly and heading upwards with it. the last time (4th cast) i had a beautiful loop heading out straight in front of me. when he swooped down to get the fly he hit the fly line. my line, fly and the bird fell towards the water. just before he hit the water, he flew straight up and parked his but in a tree on the otherside of the stream. my line falling short of the riff i was casting to (upstream and across) spooking all the fish in that hole. didnt catch any of those trouts in that hole but it was probably the coolest thing ive seen flyfishing! :-D
