Tied these up last night. I love tying "fur, feather, flash" type flies. I feel I have made progress with each one I have tied. Getting the proper amount of bucktail on is the toughest part I think. Keeping the bulk down to be able to cast these is the toughest part. LOL
Also did up a few more baitfish and a couple clousers. I first started tying warm water flies in mid January. The thing I like about them is that I don't have OCD about proportions and such as I do with my trout stuff. LOL it is burned in my head and cant get it out. With musky and pike flies there are pretty much no rules, and you never know what they are going to eat.
I think that style fly may become more of my go to pattern. That size and such is just about right. I tied one on a shank for the head, but think I will like the singles a little more.
