spring creek Harrisburg

Aside from a firearm, (which I don't have ) if I want to fish near dcp, any advice? I assume I would be fishing for native trout? I want to go somewhere close besides the YB. I was wondering on thoughts about fishing there this time of year. Flies, location etc.

Midges, scuds and streamers. I assume you mean big spring right.

No he means Spring Creek in da'hood. But it's a spring creek so same flies apply. Wild browns in there, I believe. No native brookies that I know of, but others know better.

At least get bear spray ;-)

Wild browns, shopping carts, burger king wrappers and possibly thug rappers. Many have tried and many have returned saying "what a waste of time". Better fished with a spin rod or just skipped entirely.

Thanks. It is close so I was thinking it might be worth the effort. Caught chubs there before and heard big trout were there.

They're in there. My friend has caught several big ones. Streamers. He keeps trying to get me to go but I have no desire. We call it Mall Run.
