Where do we find the results of the survey's also where can we find information on things like trout per mile/acre?

1. PA doesn't use fish per mile. It uses lbs per hectare (surface area). Thus putting smaller streams on par with bigger streams in terms of fish density. And also giving an advantage to streams that carry larger fish, even if fewer in number.

2. The wilderness trout stream list does list trout density. And you can find some individual stream surveys as well. The class A list doesnt show density, but inclusion on it means density is over the threshold to be class A, which is published. The other list is "streams supporting natural reproduction", which lists supposedly all streams with wild trout populations. If its on that list, but not class A, then the density is somewhere between 0 and the class A threshold. You can actually e-mail the fish commission and they'll tell you whether its class B, C, D, etc.

3. Keep in mind many of the surveys are old, or they only surveyed one section of stream but not another, or did so at a certain time of year, etc. And wild trout populations fluctuate with droughts and floods and such, fish migrate seasonally, etc. So a class C on an upswing could have a better population than a class A on a downswing, its by no means perfect.
