This pattern has been killer for me on lower spring creek lately. At first I was concerned about the bead in the way of the hook gap, but it doesn't seem to be a problem.

What hook are you using? Depending on the hook maker the gap could be a problem but yours looks good to me.

It's a size 10 daiichi 1120

Nice fly. I'd rename it as a caddis pupa though...looks more like that stage of its life cycle. Either way it catches fish!
