another thread just down the page a bit!
but yeah, it's here. just watched a news story on TV about it.
like discussed elsewhere, is there evidence of it actually killing fish? or is it just a nuisance?
what effect does it have on bug life?
i think that the problem occurs when it blooms into thick mats that cover the stream bottom. Its detrimental to the food chain from the bottom (literally) up.
Like another thread stated, I think its time to start treating our boots and waders like every stream has didymo. Proactive instead of reactive.
