So I've tried just about every type of pack except for a sling pack. Chest packs, lumbar packs, etc., I keep on going back to a simple vest. It works but sling packs look like a really good idea. The big question is where do I keep a net for those big fish streams when I really may need one? Anyone use a sling pack with a net?

Hey,

Some sling packs have a net sleeve on the back panel. I know some of the Fishpond packs have a sleeve to slide the net handle into.

My Vedavoo pack has a d-ring to attack a net release to.

My Simms sling pack has a d-ring where the strap meets the pack at the shoulder, that's where I attach my Fishpond net by the hoop.

The other option is sticking the handle in your wading belt.

I use an Orvis Guide Sling and its my favorite pack. I did a vest, chest, and hip pack and disliked all of them.

It has a D ring on it & I tuck my net between the pack and my back handle side up. Keeps it secure and outta the way while hiking.

I have an Atom sling pack and it works great for me. It has a D-ring at the top that I put a net release on. Good luck
