I'm in the market for a sinking tip fly line, 15 ft would be good, but 24 will do. I'd like a Type 3, (3 in/sec sink rate)
My problem is that all the sinking tip lines I find are 5 wt, minimum. Does anybody make a 4 wt sinking tip line?
Would a 5 wt work on a fast action 4 wt 8-1/2 ft Allen Heritage?
Would it cast further or shorter than a matched line?
I'm needin' it for my time in TX when I'll be fishing 5 to 18 feet of water for bull bream.
As a novice tyer, caster and of course fish catcher, I'm looking for some advice from you "PhDs of the Fur & Feather"
I'll be in PA in May festooning the trees with self-tied nymphs, streamers and glo bugs and occasionally whipping the water to a froth with bad presentations.
Yellow Creek and Pine Creek and Spring Creek, Oh My! I don't think we're in Texas any more Toto...
