Just thought I would share my experience with these boots as quality of wading boots seems to be a hot topic lately. While I can not speak for long term durability I have put these boots through a relatively hard week of field work, kicking substrate for macroinvert samples, agressive wading and a few miles hiking. These are the best fitting wading boots I have ever had, and for the use they have been through they still look like new. They are still holding all of the studs that I orginially put in, simms alumibite for those curious. I found this combo to provide ample traction in a variety of substrate, from large cobble, to algae covered We will see how they hold up for the summer, but as I already have 40ish hours in them I would feel safe to recommend these especailly to the more casual wader looking for an economical pair.
