Interesting and well produced documentary on the history, decline, and restoration of the Shavers Fork watershed in West Virginia.

The story of many PA watersheds is likely very similar.

Shavers Fork

Thanks for the post. I really liked it.

My two favorite canoe trips are the upper Greenbrier River and South Branch of the Potomac River, which are both in West Virginia.

I can catch stocked trout in both but usually do that with an ultra-light spinning rod and a silver-bladed Mepps spinner.

I've fished some in West Virginia and made it a point to fish Shaver's Fork and to hunt on Shaver's Mountain. My last name is Shaver so seemed like the thing to do.

I saw Shavers Fork featured in a Fly Rod Chronicles episode a number of years ago. I had no idea about the history of the stream. I’m glad so many people got behind this effort and took a very innovative approach.

Thanks for sharing!!

Well done documentary!
