Has anyone ever use Senyo Laser dubbing and Senyo Shaggy dubbing?

I've seen it used in a few patterns and it really looks great. Does anyone have any experience with this dubbing?

i use laser dub a good bit
long fibers that really don't work for "dubbing"
rather building heads or for loops
i like it sparse

shaggy dub... never use it
don't like it

Ask poor richards bait shop where senyo lazer dubbing came from. It was created in Erie Pennsylvania by a guy named Ed. I am not sure of his last name they used to called him steelhead Ed. He died and Senyo took it and ran to Orvis and put his name on it. Its not new it has been out since the 70's.

your talking about lazer yarn... a different product
more like egg yarn

Yeah you are right got mixed up.

I use it. I dig it. It really shines in loop techniques imo

I use the Lazer Dub a lot in baitfish imitations, I have a few packages of the shaggy dub, but I've never really used them...

here is laser dub as the body... there is no underbody
tied in clumps and brushed out

if it is wrapped/bound too tight, there UV fibers don't show and kinda kills the whoe purpose
it is ver stout/kinky and will keep shape
when you pull it from the pack, make sure to do a good job seperating the fibers before use

more or less, yes...I tie it in as a clump at the halfway point on the bunch and fold it back, makes a really neat body.

thanks
those flies are super simple
cone
lead wraps (if needed)
rabbit strip
laser dub

i will take a clump and kind of loosely position it around the hook
then 2 very loose gathering wraps
pull tight and then one more tight wrap
fold back and advance the thread
repeat until you have fille the space needed

- very similar to spinning hair

inbtween each step brush/comb/work with fingers to get out the loose materail (which can be used in the next step)
a firm tooth brush works great
This is way i will always start with a good amount of material and then take some away

here are 2 videos using the way sinperfreak described
