Savage River Watershed

Fished the Savage and its tribs over the weekend. I posted some pics below. The fishing was just o.k. I did much better last year. Some bugs coming off (march browns and yellow sallies, a few hendrickson in the headwater tribs). The hatches may be delayed or poor this year because of our previous winter. Caught a nice size brook (11") that I had to cast to for awhile until it like my offering.

Great pics man! Thanks for sharing. I'm thinking about taking my pop up, the dog, and the old lady down there at some point this summer. Any campsites close to the water you'd recommend?

Big run and popular run have streAmside camp sites as does the main river. I dont camp when i fish there so i am not sure how you rent them out though i am sure if you look at the md dnr website there will, be some info.
