Wanted to see if this stream is really dead.Spent 3hrs fishing it yesterday.Turned over some rocks with no signs of life.Saw no fish during the 3 hrs I fished. It's a real shame, there's some really nice pools and runs here.

Looks beautiful and a good mix of trout water. What a shame.

What caused all the invertebrate and fish life from disappearing,Was there some type of spill on the stream.

There are several streams in the area that are unfortunately dead. Almost every Lehigh trib coming in from the west from tannery down to nesquehoning creek has amd impacts. Some are completely dead, others have highly suppressed aquatic life. There was talk about a large treatment system that would treat the Quakake tunnel discharge on the stream that flows through Weatherly (it has like 5 different names). That stream has incredible habitat and has good brook trout populations above the amd discharges.

Acid mine drainage from coal mining. It's very common in certain parts of PA.

I have caught wild brookies in Weatherly before.
