A great fly to use when you get blanked during an olive hatch fishing duns. It's a great pattern to fish in the film as an emerger (put some spit on it) or as a low-rider on top (put some floatant on it).

Uses a minimum number of cheap and common materials and is easy to tie in small sizes to match the tiny olives that often hatch.

Pretty sure that is the state fly of Colorado. Basically, you are not allowed to fish in the state without a box full of them.

I have had varying levels of success with them in PA. Most likely, the fault of the fisher and not the fly.

I met Rim when he still was working on the RS1. He got mad at me because I was catching trouts on the SPlatte on dries while he was having a hard time catching anything, both dry and wet.
