Just a great looking fly.

I wonder how it swims in the water?

I've experimented a lot with shrimp and crab flies and often a finished fly will look great in the vise but out in the water, when retrieved, will flip upside down or sometimes spin in the water or during the cast. A large, heavy hook can help with the problem of keeping a fly upright during the retrieve (sometimes).

Anyway, a beautiful fly regardless.

You really need to make sure you put the let strips on the underside of the hook. I have fished a similar pattern and it did swim correctly.
