rear legs on caddis fly larva

i never got too in depth with my caddis larva mainly just vinyl rib and peacock and sometimes a bead. I think i might add a few strand of pheasant tail fibers at the end of the hook.

Any thought. I only ask because i will be tying some at lunch.
 
I just slap a gold bead on, olive dubbing, and gold ribbing. It always worked for me.
 
Pheasant tail barbules are a bit stiff for that application. A better choice would be a varigated grouse or partridge back feather tied in which essentially makes it a soft hackle
 
tie in a few strands of thread in color to match body, cut them very short..
 
I like that sandfly. Will definetly try that.
