Haven't heard of them. Seems like a decent fishery though. On a side note, NY will not be stocking anymore brown trout in lake Erie tribs due to low returns.

I always wondered why they dont stock trout that are shown to be more temperature tollerent here in the east . Rainbow trout in the firehole river tollerate high temps , why not see it they hold over better or adjust better in streams that are already stocked ?

Or stock more smallmouth bass as they regularly rise for plugs and poppers.

Hatchery rainbow trout have been bred for all sorts of traits. A good read on the matter is "An Entirely Synthetic Fish" by Anders Halverson. BTW, one branch of Redband trout (whose McCloud strain is the basis for the first stocked bows), survive in the dry desert parts of Oregon and Nevada and have great heat resistance.

Seeforelen are European sea run brown trout. They have been stocked for a long time in large lake systems where they may be a good fit.
