Prof and Fades July 2014 Montana Trip to the Bitterroot

Here are some pics. Prof caught 30 the 1st day. If you are going to destinations like this save up for as many floats as you can. We did a "walk and wade" guided trip which was kind of a waste. The house we rented was built by the Cartwrights...kept expecting to see Hop Sing in the kitchen. We went to the Big Hole as a side trip and were pretty much skunked. Some locals said it was not fishing well this year. Really wanted to catch a Grayling.

This looks like an amazingly great time. Thank you for sharing the pics! You really have me fired up to hit up Montana. If it works out half as good as your trip, I'd be thrilled.
 
Just remember to hire Dale Simmons as your guide. He is the tall lanky guy on the left side of our stream side luncheon pic.
 
I would have went freebird-- as you know there is greater pleasure in doing it on your own-- therefore refrain from spot-burning-- damn guides.
