Problem with Rio Intouch Striper sinking line

Recently purchased Rio Intouch Striper sinking line. Have had good success with many Rio lines in the past. Used for the first time today and experienced cracking & splitting at the tip of the line? Anybody with similar issues? I've reached out to Rio, waiting to hear back.

They have solid customer service for stuff like that. They will probably have you ship it back and send you a new line.

Rio will replace it. My experience with Rio lines isn't great. Have returned two Gold 4 wts and a sink tip 7 wt for similar problems in past couple yrs. Problems showed up in mine after only a few uses. The replacement lines aren't holding up all that well either. Lot's of tiny cracks.

welded lops suck, for one they have to heat that area of line to seal it. heat is the killer of fly line.
