Take my word it works! I thing the seal furs translucency takes away from it being a plum color fly. The body is purple and red blended real seal fur.

Long live the soft hackle, claret is what I call that color. I have been tying a more realistic iso nymph but if you present it correctly that'll work.

It works really well. I truly believe its the seal.

Seal is great stuff and worth looking for. I sometimes blend it with other materials and you can get some very unique effects when it is wet.
