Posting Photos

Is there a tutorial on posting photos somewhere. Serached but did not find one. I always put them on another server and link, but want to imbed a picture in a message. I see there is an option to attach a file but nothing happened when I previewed the message. And that option will not imbed the photo in the message where you want it.
Is the photo manager and the Xoops thing something I need to use?

My apologies, I know this is the thousandth how do I post a picture question, and not my first.....

The tutorial is a sticky in the general forum. It's so obvious that it's hidden. I missed it for a while, myself.

As for uploading photos, they may be too big. I'd edit them to something like 800x600 pixels in editing software (MS paint is what I use) before attempting to attach.

As for hosting photos and imbedding... I like to use www.imgur.com. No frills, it's free, and it works well.
