From DCNR:

An update on the trail closing. As you know, the rail trail from the Marsh Creek access area ( Ansonia) to Tiadaghton has been closed so that ash trees can be cut and removed from along the trail. The trail is supposed to be closed until the end of May.
I have been checking in with the Tioga State Forest crews from day one of the closing. This morning I talked to several Forestry employees. This is what they all told me. The loggers are almost done cutting. Then the Forestry Department will need to clean up, grade, and roll the trail. They are hopeful to have the trail open again by the end of April.

not sure about being able to stock it either !

Is this a preventive measure for the Emerald Ash Borer or are the trees already dead?

Thanks for the heads-up. Please keep us informed.
