I’m thinking about visiting Penn’s Creek for the first time this summer and was planning on staying at Poe Paddy State Park and fishing from there as well as Poe Paddy Creek. Is there good fishing from the park or should I start from another location? Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Thank you!

What part of the summer is your trip? I ask because Penns can get too warm to C&R fish for trout.

Campground is great spot to fish. Water temps will be fine at that time. Green Drakes, so very very busy. High water might be an issue. It is on the horseshoe curve. So you fish up to the tunnel, walk through tunnel. Fish up to the tunnel again.

I live 45 minutes away from Penns, but camp at Poe Paddy a couple times a year. I got engaged on one of the benches overlooking Penns! I love Poe Paddy. (Go to Poe valley for nicer toilets)

Campground might be booked already for that time frame. Book it soon. The areas right by the campground get hit pretty hard, but there are good trails that can take you to lots of good water. It's really a great spot for fishing and camping.
