I read about this in the latest issue of Fly Fisherman Magazine. The PA DCNR decided to identify all the public steambeds in PA going by physical characteristic and historical data as to what are "highways of commerce". I'm proud of PA to do this in comparison to other states that refuse to identify any public waters under pressure from landowners & lobbyists.

Good luck with that map in court...



When I zoomed in to to try to take look a look a Bellefonte, Spring creek is shown as a public waterway.
But I know of several sections of it that's posted.
And just always assumed they were off limits

But yeah, I sure wouldn't push my luck based on that.
