Orvis Recon rods for 2015 @ IFTD...

Anyone have any word on these? What are they like? What do they replace? Thanks!

They replace the Access line. They were shown at the FFing show, but not yet available for sale.

As previously stated, it does replace the Access. It's a bit stiffer of a rod than the Helios, but performs quite nicely, though I'd say a little less forgiving. 2.6oz in the 5wt, makes it nice and light as well.

More sections to a rod mean more things that can go wrong. I like the idea just need a backup two or four section rod for traveling. But for driving to a local spot just pull it out and string it up. I rarely break down my rods anyway.
