Orvis Battenkill Large Arbor 1

I have an older Battenkill LA 1 reel, the three spoke model made in England. It's been buried in a closet for years. I can find all kinds of information on 11, 111, 1v, v, v1, but not anything on the 1, whats up?

I have the Battenkill LA III 3 spoke
The counterweight fell off and got lost quite a few years ago. And I just let it go for awhile.
Then, a couple years ago now, I dropped it - and broke the handle.
So I called Orvis - and was able to order replacements for both.
I would call them to see what's up with your reel
