its a pretty stream, hopefully once the upper watershed is protected and somewhat restored, the flows will level out and stream restoration work can be done to recreate pools and narrow the streambed to support holdover trout and one day wild trout.

I don't think the term "arm-twist" used in the headline is accurate.

In our area, a TU member talked to the farmers along a small stream and explained the benefits of riparian buffers to the farmers, not just to the environment. He's a personable guy who treats people with respect, not at all an "arm twister."

The majority of the farmers, about 3/4 of them, signed up for riparian fencing.
