nice find

found a few glass rods over weekend and very nice little reel too. reel is very tight no wobble just worn paint. 2 8 1/2 footers one weighs 3 1/2 oz. one a solid glass rod, and a 9' 9wt. fenwick.

Nice job. Stuff like this makes me consider checking out yard sales. I've asked friends who follow them to be on the lookout for rods, but they can't always tell between fly and bait/spin rods.

Hey Bob if you "find" any more rods you are going to need a bigger house. At least another 48 rod rack.

there are a ton of older rods up here at sales. going to need a barn for all of them and reels. the 9'9 wt. is the same rod as I had in 78-81 at the beach. have a medalist 1498 and a 578 for it. plus I have a 2" butt that will fit the end to make it extended.
