My son has a Mongoose which has served him very well. It is pretty worn and is thincking about replacing it with a Renzettie Traveler. He does travel so any vise he buys has to be packable. He did say that he prefers the clamp tightening over the screw tightening version. What's your op?

The Renzetti Traveler Cam is still my favorite vise. I've tied thousands of flies on mine, and the jaws still look like new. So far, I've replaced the O-ring on the jaws just once.

You should buy two of them (hint hint). There are ways around the vision problem ya know. You'd be a tying maniac in no time!

You are a wise man. Maybe I'll adopt the Mongoose first. I figure if I stab myself, blind or not I'll get the hang of tying at least a few fly patterns that might come in handy. It will be great feathers and string everywhere in the house instead of just Wes's room.
