New rod at yard sale!!!

Stopped at a yard sale today to make my girlfriend happy and ended up finding a St. Croix Pro Graphite rod. It's 5/6 weight and 9 feet long. It is either brand new or used once or twice at most. I gave the guy $26 for it and already put my reel from my other rod on it. Can't wait to get out on the stream and try it out!!!

That's a good moderate action rod, made in the USA. I bought several when they were on clearance back in 2002 (roughly). I sold the longer rods, and kept a couple of the 7 1/2' 4wts. Full retail was around $95, and that wasn't all that long ago. Times have changed quickly!

That was the first fly rod I ever bought for myself. I sold mine years ago. Good times...
