I've been fly fishing for 40 years, live near the Little Lehigh creek outside of Allentown, found this site to say hi and hear from others.

I live in lower Bucks and was planning a day trip to the Little Lehigh. Any tips on spring flies or methods?I've been fly fishing for 40 years, live near the Little Lehigh creek outside of Allentown, found this site to say hi and hear from others.

Stay upstream of the fish hatchery. Always have pheasant tail nymphs and perhaps blue wing olive dries since they work and those baetis are on the water daily. Finally and most importantly lightest leader possible such as 6X , 7X and even 8X if fishing dries. Plenty of stocked rainbow trout to be found. Be flexible and walk to good water.
