Live in Laurel Highlands where there are dozens of wild trout streams within 25 miles of me- not a small stream guy but it’s nice when I don’t have a lot of time and can walk the dog at the same time.

Anyways- hit up a small stream that does see many anglers. It was down a very steep old tram road (which I think prohibits some anglers). I’m glad I did. The pic with Lilly - doesn’t do justice to the steepness of the mountain. It was so steep the dog had to sit down.

This is the biggest native brook trout I’ve caught in several years. Picture doesn’t show to well but this trout had a large meal in its belly, it was jutting out.

Certainly, got a lot of exercise yesterday. I know everyone has their own thoughts on fishing now but I’ve been getting out a good bit since lock down and going to areas with no to very few anglers and it passes the time very well and keeps my mind off all the other weirdness.

Hope you can get out, it’s so good!

Beautiful fish, I love fishing those small streams in the laurel highlands. You would be surprised at the size of some of those brookies.

That is a really good one!
Well deserved!

Love the Highlands, looks like a great day out.

See if I can get a better picture today-
