multi page threads

how come when I see a multi page thread that I haven't read yet, and I decide to click on page one and start from the beginning rather than just click on the topic itself, it still takes me to the most recent post and not page 1 despite clicking on page 1?

It is a bug if you are a user or a feature if you are a developer. Working on a fix.
