Monogahela National Forrest, West Virginia

I will be visiting in Pendleton County, West Virginia in the middle of April. I will be on the northeastern part of the state. I will be near the Monongahela National Forrest. I'm sure it is loaded with little brookie streams. I will be a guest to a man with access to a private stocked stream. I was hoping to get out to find some stream bred trout. Can any of you suggest something within half an hour from Blue Grass Virginia, but in West Virginia?
