Discussion of the benefits and disadvantages of using mono vs a "Euro" fly line for tight-line nymphing >

We seem to follow the same sites. I've fished the mono rig a bunch this year, pretty effective subsurface.

I used this technique for pretty much my first time last week and an hour on valley ck I was able to roll two fish.

I've never tight lined or euro nymphed in general before so i was happy with the results. My formula was I think 22 feet of 20lb, 4 feet of 15lb 2 feet of 2x sighter and 2 feet of tippet. Casting wasn't difficult at all. All the turn over was there and the castability. It just was harder to feel the road being loaded.
