I didn't fish but wanted to get out of the house so took a ride up 83 to the Newberrytown exit and drove to the kill section of the YB on McCormack Road. Very, very windy and pretty chilly just standing around with fleece pants and jacket. I watched at least a dozen guys who seemed to know what they were doing with ultra light spin rods with a little float and an open bail. Watched them for about 15 minutes and never saw a fish caught. Time was around 2:15 today. Counted twenty-five cars in about 1/4 mile of road.

Will be going up during the week when we have some 60 degree days with little wind. Saw quite a few caddis in the air.

I was about an 24 hours after you on the same route. I saw only one guy with fish, who was proudly walking from the private property from the bottom the stretch...he had 2 plump 16-18" palominos that looked partially white...not your typical goldens. I saw no other fish, but hundreds of people.

I then went warm-water fishing...and missed 2 wild browns.

crazy stuff
