Hey, if the gentleman I talked to on the Gunpowder today (7-1) happens to see this, I found your fly patch on the way out this evening. Please send me a message and we can work on a way to get it back to ya. Thanks

How;s the water flow and fishing these days on the Gunpowder?

Flows today were really good thanks to the recent rain, 106 CFS when I checked. Water was cold(really cold !) and clear. Still a few Sulphers in the afternoon, between about 1-4 that brought some willing fish to the surface, aggressively at times. The clarity of the water gave the opportunity to see the fish rise from well below the surface and take the dries which I thought was really cool. Nymphing can prove to be a little frustrating due to some Dydimo but don't let that discourage you. No fish of any great size or numbers to report but it was definitely a great day on the Gunpowder.

It's still right around 100 cfs and according to the USGS, temps are around 48! I usually wet wade the Gunpowder this time of year, but not at 48 degrees.

I'm heading up there this evening, I'll post a report.
