I've never fished where the LJ makes the bend behind Ironville, where it moves away from the highway 453 and Ironville Road follows it. Is there a springhead of significance up here? The map shows a Logan Spring Run coming along or through more likely, the Enterprise quarry up here and another creek coming in on the other bankside.
The water that gets lots of spring influence is furher down to below the Grier School and is pretty flat. Habitat starts looking better, going upstream, where Ironville road peels off 453. I'm looking for the upper most place.where the temperture moderating effects of a spring start. I'm familiar with other springs further down. I've not explored up here, and i dont live close enough to spend down-time poking around and exploring.
Thanks for the help.

The lack of replies to this gives me faith in this community. That is the kind of information that hopefully we don’t post about on this website. The exact location of springs that enter into limestoners is akin to asking for “honey holes”

As much as I’d like to help, I’m only here to say I hope others keep this info to themselves.

Explore what you can, when you can. What I will say is that the LJ has more springs than anyone even knows.
