Hitting the little j the end of April this year for 3 days with my brother as opposed to mid May when we usually try hitting the sulphur hatch.
Any specific patterns I should tie for that time of year? Will the grannoms still be popping then?

unless it is a highly unusual year, grannoms will be over. About that time you can encounter a killer tan caddis hatch in the mornings!, especially on the lower river

sulphur nymphs and caddis larvae never fail to produce

14-16 tan caddis and whatever generic nymph patterns you like should cover your bases. Good luck!

After the mild winters we had the last two years, I saw sulphers hatching there at the end of april.
Of course this winter has been pretty harsh. So, I wouldn't expect that
this spring.
But you never know.
A big warmup is forecast here - with temps getting into the '70's next week
