On Saturday, May 2nd in Carlisle will be the Letort Festival. This event has the purpose of raising awareness of the Letort and some of the environmental issues connected to it, as well as celebrating this stream's unique role and history. The event is in Letort Park in downtown Carlise (east edge of town at the end of Pomfret St) and runs from 11am - 3pm. This event is sponsored by Dickinson College, The Letort regional Authority, and Cumberland Valley Trout Unlimited and will include entertainment, local food, a kid zone, as well as an arts focus. I'll have a booth there and, if you're in the area, drop by and say "hi" or tell a fish story. If you're new to Letort, this will be a chance to learn about this unique (and often frustrating for fishermen) trout stream. You can fish right there in the park or get directions to some of the sections outside of town.

Love the Letort. Nice to see you raising awareness. Good luck.
