Army Corps to hold public comment meeting for F.E. Walter recreation plan
Philadelphia, Pa. (Oct. 26, 2011) – The U.S. Army Corps Engineers’ Philadelphia District will host a meeting to review the 2011 Francis E. Walter Dam recreation plan and solicit feedback for next year’s plan.
The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Mountain Laurel Resort, Route 940, White Haven, Pa. In 2011, the Corps held all 24 scheduled whitewater events and numerous releases for fisheries throughout the recreation season. The dam served its primary purpose, preventing significant flood damages several times in 2011
