Driving on 248 today at Bowmanstown exit. Followed bike trail along Lehigh and wondered if fly fishing is worthwhile there. Saw spin casters but no fly fisherman. What are recommended flies if so? Thanks

Lomo,
Fished that stretch last week for a few hours. This time of year the water is low enough to wade almost comfortably, if you take away the boulders. Buddy and I fished an assortment of flies from zebra midges to small PT/GRHE with no luck. Ran into a couple of fly guys on the way out. One said he'd caught a couple on tan caddis flymphs (there were some small tannish bugs from time to time), but then the wind came up and everything shut down.

Fall looks like the right time to get on the Lehigh without fear of being swept away.
