Laurel Hill DHALO question

Does anybody out there know if the Boy Scout camp (Camp Conestoga) shuts a gate across the gravel road that runs through the camp that accesses the upper section of the DHALO stretch of Laurel Hill creek? I was considering heading out there sometime but I'd rather not drive an hour to find myself locked out. Any help is much appreciated!

Iv fished it late last season and it was open.

You could always park at the bridge where it comes into the lake and hike up. Its not a very far walk, I think its roughly .6 miles or so to where Buck Run Rd turns away from the creek at the last pull off.

I appreciate the info. I didn't realize that it wasn't that far up from the bridge just above the lake.

No problemo. I always thought it was way further until I finally walked it this spring.

I use this map - http://pgcmaps.pa.gov/pgcpublicviewer/ - to calculate my distances. It has a "draw and measure" feature that comes in super handy for figuring this stuff out.
