...on Approved Trout waters until 08:00 on your respective Opening Day; either March 31 for the "Lucky 18" southern counties or April 14 for the "Soon to be Included" remaining counties.

Keep in mind that this closed to fishing period DOES include ANY Class A stream that is a SECTION of Approved Trout Waters; that is NOT a special regulation area.

I'm going out today to get last licks on a Class A section of a local AT. 😎

Any unstocked stream is open during the closed season as long as its not downstream of a stocked stream/section. Closed on wild trout streams just means C&R. Closed on approved trout streams means no fishing period.

Yes, they are open. They are never closed to fishing, as long as you follow the tackle and harvest restrictions.

Upstream unstocked sections of Approved Trout water are also closed; this INCLUDES those on the Class A List. ANY section of an Approved Trout stream REGARDLESS of whether it is stocked or not, is CLOSED. This is done to eliminate the confusion and to prevent people from standing on the "line" and fishing in the AT section. Class A tribs are open subject to C&R.

For example, starting tomorrow you cannot fish upper Cedar Creek, the Class A Section of the Little Lehigh and the upper Class A Section of the Monocasy Creek.

I have verified the unstocked/Class A section closure issue several times with the PFBC Law Enforcement Division.

OK, now that the Class A waters are closed can someone in the know recommend any good, open waters to try over the next month. I'm new to the Lehigh Valley and don't really know where to fish other than the well-known and now closed streams. Thanks!

Yes, the Class A waters NOT on approves trout waters (ATW). Also any C&R FFO, DHALO, Trophy Trout or other special reg area.

Check the PF&BC web site for interactive maps of the county of your choice.

Cooldrmoney, just to clarify between what Bamboozle and Maurice said, in case it isn't clear: You can fish a Special Regulation section, even if it's a section on a stocked stream. For example, you can fish the 2 C&R FFO areas on the Little Lehigh (but as Bamboozle said, you can't fish the Class A non-stocked section). In your area there are also Special Regulation stream sections on the Bushkill, Monocacy, and the Saucon.
