Turned up this big nymph in a riffle on the little creek I've been posting about in the conservation forum. Looks like some kind of stonefly nymph but not one that I have ever seen before. It would attempt to roll itself into a ball when picked up but if I straightened it out and put it rightside-up it would quickly run across my hand. Made it difficult to get good photos. Having a cell phone camera didn't help either but I think I have enough here that someone could ID it.
It was probably .5-.6" long if that helps. Anyone know what it is?
