Keystone select stocked streams in the fall

I’m trying to lay off the places where I know there’s a lot of wild brown reproduction for them to spawn and instead hit some streams that get a fall stocking. Simple question: do the streams that are part of the Keystone select stocking program get the big trout in their fall stockings or is that only a preseason stocking thing? I can think of the Tully and Quittie that are part of Keystone select and receive fall stocking. Thanks!

From my experience fishing the selects in the SW the fall stockings have largely been of the smaller cookie cutter variety. That’s not to say it’s not possible and I don’t tend to fish these streams much these days. Also you might find holdovers of the larger fish, but that depends. With such a dry summer, there will be less holdover fish.

Thanks, that’s what I figured it would be. I’ll definitely fish Quittie creek anyway because it’s close to my house but I might not go all the way out to the Tully until next season.
