Anyone been fishing it recently? Just looking for a report as I am headed that way for the weekend.

I fished it Saturday...nice level. Fish were a little sluggish but still caught quite a few. I just fished the Clinton County section. There was a hatch of hendricksons but wasn't enough to really get the fish going. The fall fish were very active and some were real monsters! I bet the one was 21 or 22 inches long!

Thanks Sir - I appreciate the info.

Matt,

I fished it last weekend.
Plenty of flies and rising fish.
Saw blue quills, hendrickson, stoneflies, and several kinds of caddis.

Caught most of my fish on Hendricksons.
Although they seemed to be winding down, and are likely over now.

However, the apple green caddis seemed to be just starting.
And march browns usually come on about the same time.

Like big john, I managed to catch quite a few fallfish.
But also a few beautiful wild brookies too, along with the usual stockies

On a side note: I know you're a forager too.
I found quite a few ramp patches.
And they were at peak harvesting size.
Bring a shovel........

With the cold water from the low temps this week it could be a weekend for minnows in the morning and wet flies in the afternoon.

I would think the March Browns should be pretty close. I have seen them as early as April 26 on Kettle, which was a long time ago.
