Does anyone know anything about the rods they sell at the Kettle Creek fly shop with the "Kettle Creek" name on them? Does Phil make them and what are they like?

Phil does make them, and I've heard some pretty nice things about them. I've never got to cast one though

Phil offers an extremley wide variety of rods and blanks for pretty reasonable prices. I would recomend stopping by when he's there and cast a few or at least wiggle a few tips. Phil also spins up some pretty nice cane for a decent price.

my buddy has a kettle rod and loves it , the tip broke and they took care of it so ....

I have two Kettle Creek rods and like them a lot an the price is great.

I have a few rods that Phil made, though they are older rods. Still cast well. Phil's a good guy to deal with.

I have an interest in a 7'-9" cane rod sitting in his rod rack. It's a Payne taper, and I love the way it casts.

Phil does not make his rod blanks, he buys them and glues on the components and wraps them.
